review 1: Forgive me a pun, but this book has changed my mind.hope: If victims of stroke can regain their abilities, what excuse do I have.The only limitation on the brain is our own belief.Our brains give us choice and freedom. We are no longer limited by the same biological imperatives as other species, even primates.Matters like sex, movement, perception, ability are all aided or hindered by brain plasticity.
review 2: I am a student in a Doctor of Physical therapy program. We had a very intense neuroanatomy course and I loved it. That being said although the amount of literature available on neuroplasity is out there I find that part of the book seemed almost farfetched. There were a few chapters that really stuck out to me and I could relate to which made the book h
... moreard to put down. The point of the power of the mind is drilled through every paragraph and though this is a great point to make the book made this seem limitless. This is an easy read and the author was able to make complex neuroanatomy understandable for all levels. My biggest complaint is how parts of the book again seemed very unrealistic. Other parts were realistic that anyone can relate less
