review 1: A worthwhile addition to your personal library if you are interested in improving your skills in leadership, presentation, and personal and business interactions. Loaded with practical examples and 22 well discussed exercises to improve your skills and presence, Ms. Cabane dispels the myth that one is "born with" charisma. It CAN be learned and, in such a way that still honors one's existing personality. I can say from personal experience that adopting some of her techniques has already improved my confidence and presentation skills, and I am a presenter by trade. If you only find ONE exercise in this book that resonates with you, I'd still consider your time very well spent.
review 2: a good book for people with no confidence and needing it quick. To have ch... morearisma, it needs to be part of your nature and total existence. This book provides a number of 'coping mechanisms' of how to manage a situation in which you dont have the charisma or attitude to actually deal with it. Overall some great points are made though, and for someone who is sick of being the quiet one at the back of the room this is a great place to start. If however you have some swagger in your stride already, this book may be a little tedious for your needs. less
