review 1: The Field of Wacky Inventions – A Floors Novel by Patrick Carman – Trilogy complete and what a wild ride Patrick Carman delivers to his readers! I really enjoyed the originality of each of the books in the trilogy and this finale was quite fun. In this book you start off with the top of the Whippet hotel flying off, seriously, it separated from the rest of the hotel and flew off to a special location and then led Leo and his friends to quite a special competition. Imagine miniature dinosaurs with the same attitude as the large ones, riding a roller coaster through a forest, saving yourself from getting squished, burned, and lost within a few hours… interesting to read through this nail-biting adventure. This series is highly recommended.

... mored book in the series was my least favorite of the trilogy. It did not keep my interest as much as the other 2 books. The focus was more on character interaction between the main characters of Leo and Remy and the adults, than the interesting inventions to be found in the field. I was disappointed that the author did not focus more on the inventions and found the character interplay slow and boring. Overall it was still worth reading however it did not meet my high expectations that were set in the first two books. less

loved this book. I picture Robert Downey Jr. playing Merganzer. Hope they make this into a movie.

It just sort of finished the story and left me...not wanting to know any more. Strange I think.
