review 1: When I found out that Pat wrote a not-for-kids picture book, of course I was curious. I was a bit scared it would be inappropriate, but I heard that it wasn't at all, but was scary and disturbing. However, I didn't find it so much disturbing as I did bizzare and silly - and probably the most hilariously unexpected twist ever. And it's even better the second time around, when you see all the clues in the pictures leading up to it. This is probably the best picture book I have ever read.Also, I would read this to kids, unless they are incredibly squeamish. I know I'd have found this hilarious when I was little.
review 2: So I thought I read this book in the book/game store while I was waiting around for someone to finish their shopping. And then Pat read this bo... moreok during his panel at PAX, and I realized I didn't really get it the first time. And, really, as he demonstrated in his panel, I didn't really get it the second time, either. (And it is not a children's book, despite the fact it looks like a children's book.) less
