review 1: Natty rushes to her daughter's side in France from their home in England. Her daughter was on a school field trip and has become ill. Since a good college friend is visiting them at the time she offers to help out while Natty is gone. This is a relief for her because she and her husband Sean own a hotel that they co-manage. Her relief turns to anger and hurt when she returns with her daughter to find that her husband is now in love with her friend Eve. She begins to realize that Eve is not her friend at all. Everything she knew about her friend might not be true.
review 2: Much of this British novel read like a Lifetime movie, but I still enjoyed parts of it. It is the story of Natty an overworked and harried mother who is called to France when her daug... morehter becomes ill on a school trip. Her old friend Eve swoops in, tending Natty's husband and daughter and stealing the husband away. The characters are a bit maddening at times but it was fun to see how it would end. less
