The 39 Clues
review 1: The 39 Clues: The Vipers's NestPeter LerangisThe hunt for the 39 clues continues with Amy and Dan Cahill, but now they are in South Africa and they are looking for a clue about their ancestor Shaka. Together they have to use Winston Churchill's riddles to figure out where clue number 7 is. As the Cahill's scramble over each other for the unimaginable power that the 39 clues is guaranteed to grant them, they see the Cahill side of them come out.I actually didn't enjoy this book very much. There was not a lot of action in it and not a lot happened in it. There was a lot of unneeded text. A example of this is when it says, "It tasted bland and oozy. Dan gagged at first but forced himself to sallow."I would not recommend this book to most people. People who like mysteries and ... morethe other 39 clues books might like this book.
review 2: Loving this series. National Treasure meets Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. Wishing history class had been half this much fun. If you have the chance to listen to it on audiobook, I would highly recommend it. David Pittu brings out the fullness of the characters while still maintaining the pace of the story. The narrator can either lift the story beyond the page or make it a drudge to get through. Pittu give these stories a life all their own. less
