review 1: From my point of view, this is a guilty pleasure book. The story is compelling although I found the major plot device, immediate mutual attraction, gets a little old.The characters are likable and fleshed out (even if the hero is a too good to be true character).I enjoyed the book. I looked forward to getting back to read it, which is one of my criteria for how many stars to give a book.So... I recommend this some caveats. If you pick this up be aware that this is not literature. If you don't like slightly swarmy plots, this is not for you. All in all it's just a feel good, romantic novel.
review 2: I liked this one, I did, but I couldn't really get into this one the way I have the other books in the Cypress Hollow series. I'm glad I read it for the breadth o... moref the story/town, but as a novel itself, it was just ok. I do recommend it for those already reading the Cypress Hollow series, but please don't judge the entire series on this one installment, as the other 3 as of this review are far better, especially Cora's Heart. less
