review 1: This was a classic romance novel in the vein of Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Of course it was silly, slightly predictable, and a bit trite, but the writing was great, the characters endearing and it was very true to the genre. Of course, it also contained a knitter's dream life which didn't hurt, and Carrington MacDuffie was the perfect narrator. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series when I need a respite from more serious books.
review 2: This was recommended to me by fellow knitters. There could have been a bit more knitting in it, but I suppose it was just enough so that it could still appeal to non-knitters as good ol' chick lit or even a romance novel (in sheep's clothing...get it?) If you don't take it seriously and ignore the fact that
... more it's completely predictable, it was a good easy audiobook to listen to while knitting. The author's a Kiwi too, so I support her as a now Australasian knitter myself. Not sure yet if I'll read the others or not. Romance novels have never been my thing. I don't know though, I'm guessing for the genre this one's considered pretty tame. It was a great book to read during NaNoWriMo since it required no brain power. less

Knitting + romance + dash of suspense = a fun read that kept me entertained and turning pages

Cute story line. Easy read. Bit predictable but cheesy & good one night romance novel.
