review 1: 4.5 starsI think part of my love of these books is due to the inside information only die hard knitters get - references to brands and techniques. Plus, the witticisms that start off each chapter are great. They all are alarmingly true and some of then laugh out loud amusing in their depiction. But I also love the characters and how Eliza Carpenter appears to have set in motion a large, complex system into place to pair up and repopulate the small town of Cypress Hallow after her death. I just can't get enough of these books!
review 2: I debated between 2 or 3 stars, so I'll settle for 2.5. This book was just okay. It fulfills all the requirements of a good romance - boy meets girls, boy and girl have complications, boy and girl break up, boy and girl get bac... morek together. While there are some laughable moments, it just your typical romance novel. The saving grace for me was the little comments at the beginning of each chapter from Eliza. That kept me reading and helped me finish the book. less
