review 1: To my friends : do not get into this series because it is not worth it. I don't know if I was just high on the whole witchy aura around Halloween when I started it but in book three I'm almost finished and there are no redeeming qualities. Any attempt at salvaging the plotline and fixing all the problems going on in this story are sidelined by Sophie's drama with Archer and the constant need to mention that they are somehow touching. (Which also makes other characters uncomfortable so that needs to be mentioned too! Why?!) Just get to the point and move the story along, like I'm pretty sure that this is not a better love story than Twilight. I don't need to know what part of his body you are touching every 5 seconds for no reason. (Not even in dirty ways, just like head/ha... moreir/waist/chest/elbow etc. Just really? Is this necessary?)I am not saying that I hate romance in a book (I loved the Delirium series and have read it multiple times!) but you just have to let me move on and focus on what's actually going on here because I want to know how everything gets resolved and what's really going on at Hex Hall! (Hello?! You find Nick and Daisy and others then just leave them tied up so you can go argue about your relationship when you should be discussing how to help them???) If you want them to be mushy have specific instances rather than it being constantly on their mind and interfering with the story. I was not that immature and unable to focus as a teenager. Ugh, I just can't even. I really want to finish this book but it is becoming unbearable.Edit: For some reason I finally finished this book. I don't really think it was worth it and I was out of my mind. The end was rather annoying.
review 2: I thought this was a fitting end to the trilogy. There are still a few unanswered questions but I really liked this book. The ending was satisfying but my favorite thing about these books has been the main character. Sophie is sarcastic, witty, and real without being a parody of a teen. I thought her voice was accurate and relatable. And for all that the premise sounds a bit like Harry Potter, this series did a good job of being original and different. I'd recommend it! less

Not as good as Hex Hall. I felt like everything ended so fast. But it was still good.

I love the snark! I'd forgotten how funny Sophie is. Great ending to the series!

Too many inconsistencies in the plot, really disappointing.
