review 1: I actually liked this book a lot. It answered a lot of questions but it was also very vague on many things. For example, what did Cal see in hell. (I almost missed it if I didn't read a thread about it. Apparently he foresaw Sophie's near-death)Torin and Izzy. Like what. More background information on Daisy.The details on the Removal was very vague, I was hoping they might find out more secrets about that. Nick's parents and his past. There could have been so much development. It was just like 'oh, he was born a demon. Kay, bye~' I wanted to know how his parents became a demon, and why Archer's dad wasn't.Archer was thrown around a lot throughout the story. I wish they talked more about him, we received very little knowledge about him.The Eye barely made an entrance other ... morethan appearing randomly to start or engage in a fight. There was like a few lines about the Eye's leader, but it got dropped.I wish they gave us a lot more information about Alice and Henry Throne. It was a nice plot until it was dropped on us randomly. Alice was portrayed as the antagonist in the beginning, and so she would have a return but that never happened. There's just so many little details that were skimmed over and could have been better.
review 2: This is my review for the Hex Hall series not just Spell Bound. I loved the story way more than I thought I would. Every now and again I find myself overwhelmed with the usual novel. Hex Hall was like a breath of fresh air that I desperately needed. I've never read a series that has made me laugh so much. I loved Sophie's attitude and humor. I found myself in crush with both Cal and Archer for different reasons. I found the plot interesting and new. I really enjoyed the series. less
