review 1: While I was waiting for the other Hex Hall books came in for me at the library, I checked this e-book out. This is the first installment in Rachel Hawkins' new Rebel Belle series. It's a really frothy and totally ridiculous book that I really enjoyed. Basically, head cheerleader/homecoming queen type becomes a superpowered assassin. It worked for me, but be ready to suspend your disbelief about 110%.
review 2: This book was delightfully funny. It is a read that doesn't demand to be taken too seriously, and shouldn't be. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading this book immensely. Harper was a witty and entertaining narrator and I enjoyed watching her navigate her new found superpowers in an honestly realistic way. Her and David's relationship was more than enjoyable to
... more watch evolve, and I was cheering out loud when they finally accepted their feelings. This book was very sweet with a unique premise. Sometimes with all the dystopian novels floating around it can be hard to find a book that's just meant to be light and funny. This book was it. Really glad I bought this one, the characters were fun, the plot was unique, and the cover is gorgeous. Looking forward to reading the next one when it comes out! less
