“SEO”

Today’s topic is search engine operations…

What is a search engine operation? A search engine operation is used to increase the websites visibility. If the search engines value your site then the business will rank it higher. The traffic (yes, it’s called traffic, weird right?) will increase as more people look at the page. The traffic might increase as people search for something and may come across your page. So, basically if your page is appearing in the first page of the search engine, then it is highly ranked and will be found much quicker. When you’ve more traffic on your page then that means more profit, so that’s the goal!

So how does it work is the next step…So, a search engine used something called “bots” or “spiders” are used to crawl (search) other web pages. When the spider crawls a website, it can then store it in the database. The search engine then contains “queries”, this is what you type into the search bar and the query is then processed and a result is returned. The results are ranked in accordance with your query that was searched. They are ranked in relevance to what was searched. An example of this is “Google”.
