And so this workout begins my attempt to practice yoga again. I have dabbled with yoga in the past (including a successful run at the 21 day yoga challenge by Yoga Journal and a discounted one month membership at a local yoga studio), but practicing yoga daily (or weekly, even) never really stuck. But that was then, and now, in 2017, there are tons of online resources – dedicated YouTube channels, streaming yoga classes, yogis posting their cool moves on Instagram. And I waste so much time on the Internet, so why not waste it by doing yoga?
I am subscribed to Tara Stiles’ YouTube channel, and she just posted this video yesterday, so I decided to give it a go. Tara is a yoga pro, and sometimes I feel like her videos are for the more experienced, but this video is only 15 minutes, promises to work on flexibility, and it gives me some goals to aspire to. Such as this move:
No utthita hasta padangusthasana today, Tara. I managed to get through the rest of the workout (my runner’s stretch could also use some work), but I felt really good and relaxed at the end. I would recommend this if you’ve done yoga before, and it’s good for an evening workout.
