50 Book Pledge Featured Read: The Tiger’s Prey

New York Times bestselling author of Desert God and Pharaoh is back! The Tiger’s Prey continues Wilbur Smith‘s popular historical saga featuring Tom Courtney (now in it’s 16th episode!).

The Tiger’s Prey is set in the eighteenth century. It’s packed with action, violence, romance, rousing adventure… The list goes on. But trust me, if you love all these things, you’re going to LOVE this book!

Tom Courtney is one of four sons of Sir Hal Courtney. Determined to make his living as  he sets sail on a treacherous and epic journey, Tom takes off far across the ocean. Eventually, he’s pitted against dangerous enemies (AKA pirates!!!) in exotic destinations. This story is so fast moving and filled with action—sword fights, shipwrecks, pirate attacks, etc. What’s not to love, am I right?

Through the suspense and action, we learn that passion drives Tom’s heart. When he begins to direct his ship towards the unknown, he will ultimately find his destiny… and lay the future for the Courtney family, for better or for worse.

We are big fans of Wilbur Smith (AKA the world’s greatest historical fiction storyteller, if you will) and The Tiger’s Prey definitely did not disappoint. The drama, uncertainty, and courage feels alive and real in this thrilling saga of the sea!

The Tiger’s Prey is this week’s 50 Book Pledge Featured Read! Add it to your To Read shelf today!
