After browsing for a couple of hours in Bertrand Bookshop’s website (which includes an online catalog of all the books they sell), I realised they have very few illustrated book covers. The ones they do have are by another publisher which belongs to the same group of booksellers – Porto Editora.

I think Bertrand is loosing on the opportunity to have more interesting book covers. From my experience as a costumer, I can see they are trying to incorporate the work of young illustrators in their shops and merchandise but, although they are also investing more on their book covers, these feel a little bit left behind.
That is my main reason for having chosen “Livraria Bertrand” as the publisher to which my book covers proposal is destined.
