I have noticed that I say “ooh I want to reread [book] so badly!” about a lot of books but almost never do it. So I thought to make a lists of some of the books I definitely want to reread in the coming year.
5. Inkheart by Cornelia FunkeTwelve-year-old Meggie learns that her father, who repairs and binds books for a living, can “read” fictional characters to life when one of those characters abducts them and tries to force him into service.
Characters from books literally leap off the page in this engrossing fantasy. Meggie has had her father to herself since her mother went away when she was young. Mo taught her to read when she was five, and the two share a mutual love of books. He can “read” characters out of books. When she was three, he read aloud from a book called Inkheart and released characters into the real world. At the same time, Meggie’s mother disappeared into the story. This “story within a story” will delight not just fantasy fans, but all readers who like an exciting plot with larger-than-life characters.

This was the book that really got me into reading as a kid. It just represented the love I feel for the act of reading and just books in general!

This series has been the only one I read in one sitting and just … binged. I was OBSESSED. These books really have a high nostalgic value to me, so I can’t wait to go back to Widow’s Vale!

This was one of the first Kingbooks I read and well, this was also the one that gave me nightmares – BIG TIME. 1922 is just terrifying and kept me up for nights! I can’t really remember the other three stories that well, so I’m looking forward to reading them again!

I already reread the first two books in the series last year, but in 2018 I want to finish rereading the whole series (and maybe just reread the first two books as well …)! Hogwarts is my home.

Lolita is the book I have read the most and it’s also my all time favourite. In uni I wrote my BA thesis on it and lots of other smaller essays. I just love analysing and reading it, so I can’t wait to reread it for the fourth time!
