IFWG are very pleased to reveal the cover of Jason Franks’ upcoming dark fantasy novel, Faerie Apocalypse. “We were entranced with the originality and hard-hitting style of the novel, and it was a no-brainer to accept for publication,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of IFWG Publishing Australia.
Christian Chatman, who is no stranger to IFWG, was commissioned for the artwork – oil on canvas – and in fact painted the front and back on separate canvases to enable the very capable designer, Catherine Archer-Wills, to produce a stunning cover spread. Christian is a young artist and musician based in Arkansas, USA, who doesn’t let the challenges of autism hold him back. Catherine is a wonderful designer and artist based in the UK.
Over the centuries the Faerie Realms have drifted away from the mortal world. But for some, the Doors will open. For some, there is a Way to travel there, if they want it badly enough.
If they dream it hard enough.
In this era, only lovers, poets, and madmen can access the Realms of the Land—and for good reason.
A succession of mortals travel to Faerie: a veteran seeking beauty; a magus seeking power; an urchin seeking his wayward father; an engineer seeking meaning. These mortals bring the horrors of our age to the Land, and the Folk who live there respond in kind.
Faerie Apocalypse will be released worldwide on 15 January 2018, with a book launch in Melbourne in early February 2018 (details will come later).SaveSave
