DIY decorative candle

Stuff you will need
  • Candle wax or candle
  • Candle wick
  • Blade
  • Crayons
  • Essential oil of prefference
  • Mould to hold candle
  • Glue or hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • A spoon
  • Method
    • First place the candle wick inside the mould and stick the lowest end to the bottom of the mould.
    • Now by placing a spoon above the stove or a lighted candle rub the chalk of desired colour till it melts sufficent enough to give colour to the wax.
    • Now mix the wax with it and start melting.

    If you can’t find wax chips another candle would do. Cut it open using a blade, remove the wick and slice it further into small bits to make it easy to melt, like so;

    • Once all wax is melted pour into the mould after adding a few drops of the desired essential oil.

    Hack: To keep the wick straight and in place do as shown.

    • Allow the wax to cool.

    In the one shown I went for different layers of colour. To do this simply change the colour of the crayon and melt with a little bit of wax and pour over the before made layer. Make sure that the lower layer is cooled to a certain extent so that the 2 colours don’t mix.
