Finding the Balance

A Radiant Sky (A Beautiful Dark #3) by Jocelyn Davies

Since the night of her seventeenth birthday, Skye has been torn between two opposites: Light and Dark, the Order and the Rebellion, Devin and Asher.

But her decision shocked both sides—because she chose neither.

With the help of her friends, Skye forges her own path, setting out to gather an uprising of Rogues. The treacherous and elusive half-angels may be the key to maintaining the balance of fate and free will. But completing the mission her parents left unfinished is more difficult—and dangerous—than she could have imagined. And doing so comes at a cost: Her greatest love may now be a lethal enemy. Because it’s not just the Order that sees her as a threat who must be eliminated. The Rebellion does, too.

And both sides will do whatever it takes to win.

Dark days lie ahead, and if Skye is to survive, she’ll need to rely on her extraordinary powers and the strength of her will. Because she has a future—and a love—that’s worth fighting for.

The sweeping, darkly romantic story that began with A Beautiful Dark and gathered intensity in A Fractured Light comes to a thrilling conclusion in A Radiant Sky.

Goodreads

A Radiant Sky is the final book in the Beautiful Dark series. All the events in Skye’s life have been leading up to this. The battle to keep the balance between the Order and the Rebellion is here and Skye is facing it with strength, courage, hope and love. She is finally learning to trust not only herself but the people she loves. Not everyone is going to make it through this and afterwards nothing will be the same.

Skye has grown as a person, she see things differently. Skye still struggles (and who wouldn’t her her position) but she stays the course. She realize that lots of people do things that they would rather not and that finding the balance was always something that she alone could do and had to do. I love how Skye’s friends stay by her side no matter what, they have a true friendship and I love that they are regular people and aren’t kept in the dark about the supernatural world that’s around them.

The whole Devin and Asher debacle comes to a close, Skye picks once and for all. I have to say that part of me never really trusted either because they were there on a mission and that mission was Skye. I hated how they both seem manipulative and you couldn’t really count on them. However, I do like that they had something that meant something to them, something that they believed in and fought for.

This book did not end how I expected it to. The battle was a little weird, characters did things that I don’t understand and I don’t understand how one event happened and that changes certain things. Very confusing. Anyway it still ended on a decent note for the series.

A Radiant Sky had love and loss, heartbreak, battles, family and friendships and discovers. It is the end of a pretty decent series, if you read the other books in the series then this one is worth checking out.
