Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Jim Kay has done it again! Every illustration was beautifully intricate, and I love how he interpreted all of the characters. I felt that Sirius and Snape especially embodied the actual descriptions of them in the book as opposed to allowing the movie’s influence to change their appearance. He paints light in such a way that makes it appear as if it is gleaming off of the pages. It took me longer than usual to read this because I would often spend nearly five minutes drinking in the gorgeous art before my eyes. I cannot wait until The Goblet of Fire has its illustrated edition released! If you’re a fan of Harry Potter, you simply must own this book.
