When Kentucky meets Texas A&M in Rupp Arena on Tuesday night it wont exactly be the elite match-up we may have anticipated just a few weeks ago. Instead two teams will come in seeking a 40 minute solid performance. A&M has been throttled with suspensions and illness losing 3 straight. When the ball tips they will be ranked last in SEC at 0-3. Yikes. Kentucky looks to rebound from a forgettable second half performance in Knoxville. Each team is still searching to find its niche and put it all together.

I’m not as down on the Cats as most seem to be right now. Had they not laid an egg in the 2nd half on Saturday it would have been 4 impressive wins in a row. Destroyed our rival by 30, tough win to start conference play, and finished in a close road game. We also did not play at full strength due to fouls and cramps. And uh……. we never win at Tennessee! The eye test was ugly but the sky is not falling. Saturday was disappointing. Move on.
Keys for UK:
1. Sustained Execution: We have seen how good the Cats can be. And also how frustratingly bad. Who shows up? And for how long?
2. Knox/Diallo. A&M aside I dont see how we can become special without these two making plays consistently. So lets go.
