Since I start building computers I’ve always had a dream: liquid cooling it with a custom loop. After all these years I decided it was time to finally do it! In order to start the easy way I decided to go for the hard tubes and bending (go big or go home!).
The only caution part was to liquid cooling my current system and not starting with a complete new build, in order to avoid some catastrophic disaster. Better safe then sorry.
Here I’m only discussing in general the project and the final result, but I’m going to post a building log next for more details on the process.
Without further ado let’s jump in.
My starting system is cooled by a noctua NH-D14 and I recently upgraded to a BeQuiet Dark Base Pro, with the liquid cooling aim in mind. This case infact, besides a tempered glass side panel to show off the loop, also offers a complete modularity, granting you all the freedom on the position of your components.
All the loop is ekwb and front fans noctua.
Plus some rgb components to light it up;
And after lot of work and effort I completed the loop!!
It tooks me more than anticipated because I had to change the tubes route and I run out of tubes, but in the end I’m pretty satisfied with result, even though it’s still a work in progress.
The next steps are:
- Add the gpu to the loop
- Inverted layout
- Custom psu shroud
- More…
I already have some ideas about the shroud but I have to wait the inverted layout before going forward.
