In December I received 16 postcards, including some nice holiday and new year’s greetings. I didn’t send as many as I wanted to, though. As in the last years, Postcrossing again joined up with the Deutsche Post to donate 10 cent for every Postcrossing card sent from Germany in the month of September. I had planned to have all my available cards travelling and drawing new addresses as soon as one arrived, but ended up only sitting down twice throughout the entire month to send some cards. I did fill up the remaining slots on the 31st, though and wrote the cards in the days after. So now I have quite a lot of cards on their way and will hopefully receive a bunch in January.
The cards I received in December came from 12 countries:
- Austria
- Belarus
- China
- Czech Republic
- Finland
- Germany (4)
- Hong Kong
- Malaysia
- Netherlands
- Philippines
- Russia (2)
- Ukraine
I didn’t do many swaps last month and only received three cards of UNESCO sites, but still one that is new for my collection for a total of 688 sites.
- Temple of Preah Vihear (Cambodia)
- Imperial Palaces of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Beijing and Shenyang (China)
- Architectural Ensemble of the Trinity Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad (Russia)
