I have finished the last portions of the Demon Catchers of Milan by Kat Beyer. And let me start by saying I’m sad it ended… I have so many unanswered questions.
For starters the book has a family tree in the beginning, that connects the characters in the story. It traces them back to the 1200s and ends with Mia who is the narrator. The author was able to introduce all of the characters still alive and refer to one who we eventually discover to be a spirit in Mia’s boarding room with her distant family. The question about the characters still yet to be introduced is
How did they get so heavily involved with Demon catching? What major event led them to pursue such a task full time?
Aside from the main characters the reasoning for Mia’s gift is still a mystery and does she eventually battle the Demon that has his sights on destroying her?
These question still are on my mind after finishing this book. I do believe there is a sequel to this story that may answer my dying questions
It is called the Halcyon Bird
I look forward to reading that book and others written by this author
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good page turner!
