The Review (may contain spoilers if you haven’t read Under the Never Sky):
Through the Ever night started right where the previous book left off, and we’re immediately thrown into the action and problems that come with living under the Aether. Aria and Perry struggle with positions of leadership, making all the tough decisions and taking care of so many people. I loved Under the Never Sky, but I have to say, this book is definitely better. Sequel Syndrome? What is that?
This book is not afraid to take risks, just like its characters. The stakes are much higher and the good guys don’t always win and get the happily ever after no matter how much you’d been rooting for them. I really felt the emotions leaping at me through the pages and it just made the characters much more relatable and made me love the characters even more.
The worldbuilding in this book, I think, surpasses its predecessor and it was easier to get into the way things work. I do think that sometimes the change in POVs could be jarring because our two main characters are separated for much of the book and their chapters sometimes end on a cliffhanger. But that didn’t really bother me much and I still really loved this book.

The Review:
Well, what can I say except I really, really love this series! I don’t really have a lot to say about this book. I still found it as awesome as the last two and I was really sad when it ended. I feel that this last installment really made me ride an emotional roller coaster. I’m sure anything I could possibly say about the characters, the worldbuilding, the action scenes et cetera would just be repeating what I’ve already said about Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night.
The villain in this book is definitely a villain. Sable is very disturbing and manipulative, and what’s worse is you can’t even fool him because, like Perry, he’s also a scire. Going into this book, I knew that not everything would turn out alright because it’s just that kind of book. But even knowing that didn’t stop me from tearing up once or twice.
In the end, Under the Never Sky is truly a wonderful series that I will definitely revisit in the future. It is definitely not the perfect book, it has flaws and I feel that there could be more answers to the questions that I have. But, it is a series that, strangely, comforts me. It is familiar and the characters feel like a group of friends I could say hello to each time I open the pages.
