Rival Sons likes to rock hard, and I mean really hard. From their earliest album (“Before the Fire”) dating back to 2009, to their most recent (“Hollow Bones”) in 2016, they have maintained a consistent sound due to Jay Buchanan’s intense vocals, Scott Holiday’s wailing guitar, Michael Maley’s outstanding drumming, and as of mid 2013, Dave Beste’s groovy bass. My introduction and personal favorite album by Rival Sons is “Great Western Valkyrie”. The album has many great songs but my favorite even has a music video.
