review 1: I enjoyed reading this book. For those of us who rarely, if ever, get the sense of a "direct" message from God, it's still good to hear from those who do. Dr. Anderson's faith journey and his calling have given him an unusually clear view of the reality and nearness of Heaven (and God). I am certain of both but can only marvel at the "picture" some people get; for most of us, it's just glimpses and we've gotta walk by faith alone. It was also good to read about the Andersons' part in the story of Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman's lives and the loss of their daughter, Maria, and to hear how they've come through that valley.
review 2: Appointments with Heaven is such a amazing book that inspires and gives hope for all. hearing Reggie tell his life story where... more the veil between heaven and earth are so fine that he has seen heaven in a dream twice, and feeling the veil open and close when babies are born and people die. an easy to read book that you cant put down as the story moves from blessings to tragedy and many people face in life, but through it all, even when Reggie didn't realise it God was operating it all, guiding it with His own hands. Hearing Reggie's insight into death; where you are dying on earth but are being born into heaven, was beautiful, and fall all that has lost someone to death; which is most of us, it gives us all hope and happiness. and when it comes to thinking about our own death we feel joy and excitement. I thank God for all that he has done in blessing Reggie in his life and pray that he may continue to do so! a true blessing of a book for all. less
