review 1: It took me longer to read this book than I woud have thought but I'm pretty sure that was because I have started back at college so I really only have before I go to bed to read. I loved this book regardless though. I can normally guess what's going to come next when I'm reading but I couldn't with this. I'm in love with Sydrian. So Richelle Mead I don't know if I can forgive you for the end of this book. I'll just have to read The Indigo Spell and see how I feel afterwards.
review 2: If you liked the Twilight series I think you would like these books. This series is a spin off of the Vampire Academy books (which I didn't know and and have been reading backward - I wish I had read the Vampire Academy books first). I do have to add that this author does add i... moren sex among her main characters (mostly teens) and seems to advocate for it as long as they are in love (especially in later books in the series - not graphic just think Twilight again). I am not a fan of that and I know that would make some of my friends not want to read it so I thought I should that disclaimer. less
