review 1: This is a dark, violent, occasionally downright gory comic -- and I mean that in the best way. Deadpool and Fantomex are two of my favorite characters, yet they're pretty different and have an interesting dynamic, so I love this particular team-up.The X-Force team is generally very morally ambiguous, but pragmatic in a way that I completely agree with given their situation. This doesn't make the moral dilemmas less engaging each time, though. The story is easy, but never boring to follow, which is good for an introductory issue like this one.I really, really enjoy the gallows humor in the midst of all the Apocalypse mess. Loved the touch with the... altruistic cannibal-feeding, which was simultaneously adorable and disturbing. Also, the art is dark and wonderful, always cre... moreating the right kind of gloomy atmosphere to complement the story. Fantomex looks great, Deadpool looks exactly like he should, and I love everyone's suits.I'd recommend this to anyone who either loves some of the characters in Uncanny X-Force (like me), or enjoys excessively violent antiheroism (like me).For all intents and purposes, this is almost flawless. I would have given it 5/5 if I wasn't so picky about plots.
review 2: WOW. I was really surprised by how good this was. I figured: Deadpool, Wolverine & Apocalypse(my favorite Marvel villain) this should be good, but I was expecting anything great. This was fantastic. I don't know how Remender fit so much story and so much character development into only 4 issues. And the ending left me shocked. All of the characters were written extremely well, and the art captured the mood perfectly. I loved that Deadpool was not just random humor, and he actually had one of the most heroic moments of the book. I can not wait to read the next volume in this series, Uncanny X-Force has become my new favorite Marvel series. less

The art was fantastic and the story was pretty nifty. I'll be picking up the next book.

An excellent run. Gets even better (and darker) as the story progresses.

Didn't care about any of it. At all. Disjointed snooze-fest.
