Venom Vol. II
review 1: Apart from each comic seems a different tale yet all joined at the hip one way or the other, this is almost like reading something British, it's darkly humorous although it's quite a morbid tale. The symbiot is now used for military gain, it's host, Spidey's number 1 fan, Flash Thompson a war vet who lost both legs and is in a wheel chair for life. But when he has the symbiot formed with him, he is an almost unstoppable covert soldier...except he can only withstand being bonded for about 48 hours or the symbiot takes the advantage on the hold, a dangerous game the U.S military plays and poor Flash is in the middle trying to do what is right.A great way of giving Venom his own solo venture and a lot can be done with this semi-hero.
review 2: The addition of the tr
... moreagic hero "Flash" Thompson, who any Spider-fan knows, changes the entire scope of this story. Instead of the brain eating, city smashing Venom we've had in the past. We now have a gritty character study about a damaged man seeking redemption, control of his emotions, and control of a monster that he needs to work with in order to serve his country. The art is gritty and the writing is dark. It's great to see a Venom story that stands on it's own and isn't just page after page of the Symbiote wrecking stuff. less

Nonostante le premesse, incredibilmente buono anche per un fan di vecchia data di Venom.

Breathtaking imagery in the artwork and a flawed character from Marvel. Fantastic.
