review 1: i read the second book in the series first because i didnt know any better. though it wasnt necessary to read the first book to follow the second book, i wouldve liked to have read the first one first because it was supposed to have been a better book than this one. this book...is all about poop. yes, poop. where there is a "wendigo" there is mountains upon mountains of crap. and not just any crap. very descriptive crap that goes on for many pages. crap aside, this book only horrified me during a few parts. the rotting, breaking teeth sliding down a wide open throat was a picture painted that i wont soon forget. it was a well written book that used lots of words i rarely see, which is why i gave it 3 stars. i guess its not the books fault it wasnt my... more type
review 2: Absolutely thrilling! As enthralling as The Monstrumologist, this book takes me directly from the world I am in and places me in William Henry's shoes, allowing me to see what he sees, hear what he hears, and feel what he feels. I was never able to put this book down for a single second, for its perfect mix between beautiful descriptions and action leaves readers not even a second to recover between pages before another twist occurs. less

theres a lot more emotion in this one. I highly recommend it; but not for the faint of heart.
