review 1: Though it's been a long time since I read the first book in this series it didn't take me long to get caught back up with Riley & Jack Campbell-Hayes. I now wonder how I ever waited so long to read this. One of the unique things about this series is that while it never takes the reader too far away from our MCs it's not just about them and their love but encompasses their families as well. We have a whole host of wonderful characters to round out this series and we see not only romantic love but familial love at it's best and worst.
review 2: I said this after I read The Heart of Texas and I think it fits with this book too...It totally feels like a prime-time mini series type thing but it wasn't as OTT as book 1. (I would so watch something like this if the
... morey ever decided to make one.).Anyway, back on point. Riley & Jack stole my heart when they wormed their way into each others. I forgot how much I enjoyed them until I picked this book up. I enjoyed getting to peak back into their lives which was just starting to calm down enough that we needed something to shake it up again. This shake up just so happens to be an 8 year old sweetheart named Hayley. (and there was another shake up or two as well). I can't wait to spend some more time with this little family. :) less
