review 1: It was first published in January of 2007 and now has about 18 titles. The series is geared to teens and tweens and takes place in a Middle School setting. The focus is on all the inter-personal issues that kids deal with at this age so I can see how they would be able to relate to it. This particular book is about a young girl who spent 2 years of her life touring with a theater company and is now thrust into 7th grade with kids she doesn't know. She tries to get involved with the musical but it is poorly run and the director doesn't take any of her advice into account. Through the musical she does begin to develop some relationships which is unchartered territory for her. This has been a popular series for young teen girls and I can see why.

... morehat i've learned from this book is that celebritis have hard lives to. for example if some of them tried to be a normal person and not super rich they would have to learn how to do it.just like the main character Ruby.her t.v show got canceled and now she has to go to a regular school.bo autographs, papparazzi, lunches or photo shoots. but she gets the part in an unglamorous play at school and has to play a role she never played-a best friend. less
