review 1: Penelope Drayton Spence is just trying to get back to work as a journalist now that her husband and kids have moved on. Her first assignment changes her life forever, and tosses her into a no-turning-back adventure that is beyond compelling. Suddenly she is in the thick of a mystery whose solution will change the whole world. She oscillates between being fascinated by, and utterly terrified of, a man she is asked to simply interview. But this is no ordinary interview and this is no ordinary man. Is he the malicious and dangerous person the government says he is? Or is he a brilliant revolutionary who is literally the key to a new era about to dawn on man-kind? In this fast-paced, tightly written gem of a story, the author sends Penelope (and us) on the ride of a lifetime, ... moreand manages to keep us from guessing at the ending until the very last line. Possibly one of the best books I have ever read. If you like Dan Brown, you'll like Rod Pennington.
review 2: This novella (Kindle Single?) follows Penelope as she seeks to learn more about enlightened folks around the world. Her first potential interview takes her to Las Vegas to meet our enlightened candidate who is no longer the self-promoting gambler he once was. An interesting idea to think about that even some of those who have become enlighten aren't all zen buddhists or even consciously seeking to be enlightened. I really enjoyed this and can hardly wait for the next! less

I was totally connected with this book until the ending was so sudden and just "pat".
