review 1: This book continues the story of Lacey and Clay building their environmentally friendly resort on Mimosa Key. Now the reader finds that Jocelyn is returning to hide out at the resort. She is dealing with the fallout from problems stemming from one of her clients. Coming back she now finds herself dealing with issues of her own (her father and her high school best friend and romantic interest). There are a couple of interesting twists in this story and ,of course, there's still two more of the four college girlfriends to write about.
review 2: This is the second book in the Barefoot Bay series and I thought it was as good as the first one which I loved. Honestly, as I am living with an elderly dementia patient, I really thought I was not going to be able to read... more this because of it being so close to home. In actuality, this book helped me gain some insight into what I am dealing with. There were the same quirky characters from the first book and a few more mixed in. Very good layered story. less
