review 1: Wilma Persson and Simon Kyro are diving into ice-covered waters to try to learn more about a plane wreck that is beneath the surface when someone covers their ice hole with a door and they die. Prosecutor Rebecka Martinsson and police detective Anna-Maria Mella work the case. There are ties going back to WWII. Much of the narration is from the point of the dead girl, which is not a device I care for. There was a small cast of characters, so no real detecting was required. I was underwhelmed by the book.
review 2: "Non ricordo. In seguito mi sono detta che se si ripensa a un'occasione in cui si e' stati molto tristi, la sensazione di tristezza ritorna. E se si pensa a una volta in cui si e' stati molto felici, si prova la stessa felicita'. Ma ripensando a u... morena situazione di angoscia, non si riprova piu' quella sensazione. E' come se il cervello dicesse stop, si rifiuta di tornare a quel punto. Ci si puo' solo ricordare che era cosi'. Non si puo' risentire quello che si e' provato." less
