review 1: Up in Kiruna, the northernmost town in Sweden,District Prosecutor Rebecka Martinsson is recovering from the trauma she experienced in the last book in this series, keeping her late grandmother’s cottage clean and looking after her dogs Vera and Brat. Police dog handler Krister Eriksson stops by frequently for walks and to stare longingly at Rebecka, although she is off limits as she has her boyfriend Mns back in Stockholm. Meanwhile, Police Inspector Anna-Maria Mella is trying to solve the mystery of the human bones in the body of a big black bear recently shot by the local hunting club. review 2: What a read! Wish they translated this author faster! Excellent and more than 5/5! Lapland, what a place, what a hi... morestory of the mines WWI time in Kiruna and then the nature and climate. Found the old story of Elina and Lizzie good and the back and forth then and now well constructed with excellent story flow. Rebecca and her colleagues, neighbours and dogs well told. The power struggle within the police and basically bad cop, good cops. Community losers and good folk. There were some very hard spots to read through, while as usual Martinsson fights to survive and solve the case.... Excellent very good read! less
