review 1: College twins with complicated past enter the world of internet business. What a lousy ending! It's more than a non-ending. It's like the author died or something and no one knew what to do with the manuscript. I'm fairly certain that this didn't actually happen. So not cool. As for the book, it was not much better than okay. Very "soapy.". Still, I read it in about two days which is fast for me so it couldn't have been too bad.
review 2: I'm pleasantly surprised with this book. I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did and am so glad that I stuck with it.Two siblings who have had a hard life and now have made it big in Silicon Valley. I wondered what their life was before the scholarship like, what will they do with this new found fame? Adam a
... morend Amelia story was interesting to follow. The two main characters, Adam and Amelia haven’t always had any easy life. Amelia is extremely smart when it comes to technology, and works in the lab most of the time. Adam is what I would call a wanna be socialite. There were some secondary characters, T.J. and Patty who were involved in the story a lot. T.J. had issued with being controlled by his father, and Patty had her own issues. The plot moved at a fairly fast pace, with a few sub-plots going on. You have the new business that Amelia and Adam and the story behind it all. They have the help of a man who happens to be quite wealthy and does all he can to make the company work. There is of course the evil villain that wants to take them down for some things that happened. And he was certainly a good villain. The romance in this, it was not just one love triangle, but 2 of them, for both Amelia and Adam. And just when thing started to get interesting, it ended. Abruptly. I assume that since this is the first in the series, there will be more. I did like the bond that Adam and Amelia had, and how they always stuck together. The Social Code is a fast read, I think fans of book filled with betrayals, back stabbing, lies and drama will enjoy this. less
