review 1: This book was an amazing start to the Maja trilogy! I was immediately drawn in by the dynamic world that Diemer has dreamed up. The various magical clans that inhabit the world were fascinating, and I feel we only scratched the surface in this first installment. The storyline was exciting and action-packed; I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of it. The characters were all appealing and I'm dying to get to know them better in the next two books. I can't wait for the next installment of the Maja trilogy!!
review 2: Dreamy, idyllic, with a hint of danger, 'Sugar Moon' introduces us to the world of Elise, a lone witch girl traveling the country in search of rare botanicals. With her rich and evocative language, Diemer ropes you into the story and holds
... more you with seemingly simple characters, though that is deceptive. As the story unfolds, you're drawn down deeper into a beautiful story that only leaves you wanting more as you come up for air. less

Great start to a trilogy - now if only the author would put out the second book. :)
