review 1: I didn't hate this. That's pretty much the only positive thing I can say about it. I absolutely hate fated mates. I can handle it if the mate bond is separate from the characters getting to know each other and falling in love, but that wasn't the case here. The characters pretty much became one instantly, with all the mind reading, feeling each others' pain, and telepathic connection stuff that often goes with fated matings. If I'd know this book had that I definitely would not have read it. There was no conflict between the characters at all. Since they could read each others' minds and feel each others' feelings, how could there be? The only conflict was external, and that was sporadic at best. A conflict would spring up only to be resolved in a few pages. I had no motiv... moreation to keep reading and was really bored. There was no romantic tension at all. Also I thought the sex scenes were boring and way too frequent. Anus is not a sexy word and it was used way too often.
review 2: I knew I absolutely had to read this book when I saw the blurb. It was everything I expected it to be and I enjoyed it for what it is.This book is about as straightforward as it gets. The writing is alright but there's no particularly earth shattering revelation or deep character moments. It's not intentionally funny and the storyline is pretty serious. I was honestly entertained.I think Carson was rather cute as a little lamb. His baa moments were adorable. The wolf vibe wasn't so strong for me in Brody. He's an alright character though. The trouble I have with true mate bonds is the same trouble I have with insta-love, but I can accept this paranormal aspect more easily. Still, there's not much relationship development that I can see with this story. There's some minor references to getting to know each other, but the story progresses in such a way that you don't really get to see it.If you're predisposed to dislike the blurb, I don't believe there's anything in the book that will change your mind. All in all, a nice easy read. less

Very cute read. Didn't go into reading it expecting much, but enjoyed it nonethless.

I just couldn't get into this. None of the characters drew me in.
