review 1: This was a fun read with good character development. If I read a zombie novel, I want the zombie theme to be a launching pad to something more than just killing zombies and running away from zombies. In Zombie, Ohio, the author gives us a humorous, engaging story of a guy who finds himself in the predicament of being a zombie. The characters are endearing and the book kept my interest throughout.
review 2: Kind of corny. I guess this guy writes 'Zombie satire' or something. It was definitely a new take on the zombie genre, but it fell kind of flat for me. Everything was so implausible and some things just didn't make basic logical sense. Like he would ride a motorcycle all night and then wander for a few hours and be back where he started. The 'coincidences'
... more were too hard to believe -- he just happens to find his impounded car (they're towing cars during the zombie apocalypse? huh?), and he randomly runs into his girlfriend like 3 different times. The writing was so simple it made me think I should write a book if that's all it takes. But I did finish it, I guess that counts. less
