review 1: I enjoyed this much more than I thought I might. I would actually give it 4.5 stars if 1/2 stars were allowed. There was a little more language than I would've liked but I guess I might throw out some cuss words if zombies were chasing me as well. The description says this is a sequel but I haven't read the Zombie, Ohio book and didn't find it necessary to reading this book. I have put it on my list though and will come back and update the review if I find reading the Ohio book makes the Illinois book better.
review 2: Loved it! An Illinoisan, from the suburbs, true!, I loved the way the politics of Chicago played in this book. There were certain inside jokes. Even if you didn't know these jokes, they fit well within the story line! The three main characters me... moresh well and believably together. And I love zombies! So political commentary, societal commentary, 3 well drawn characters- and Zombies, to boot! What mor could a girl ask for. less
