review 1: This is my 4th Scott Mariani / Ben Hope novel. I started with #7 quite by accident thanks to an impulse buy one Sunday. The prophecy story is my favourite so far because it touches on religious fanaticism and the danger the world faces from those who take several thousand year old history as literal truth. As per my reviews of Scott Mariani's books; the writing style appeals to me. I can visualise the big screen adaptation - I hope, one day, that I might get to see that. Although ... If Tom Cruise can play Jack Reacher, maybe the movie should remain in my head. It's a good story written at a good pace.
review 2: I really liked this Ben Hope adventure. It took a little while to really get rolling but once it took off there was no stopping it. My only real comp
... morelaint is that I had a hard time seeing Ben studying theology and planning to become a vicar especially given his past and then the events of the book. It just didn't seem to be the real Ben Hope. Of course, I read the books out of order so maybe it's more believable when viewed in the context the author intended. Bottom line, lots of adventure, a few surprises and plenty of kick ass action made for one fine story. less

9/11 conspiracy theories AND bad pacing? Poor recipe for a book.
