review 1: I haven't yet read one of Scott's books that I haven't enjoyed. If you like adventure/thriller-type books with a pace that keeps moving, then I definitely recommend you try one & see if the shoe fits. The series is based on the main character, Ben Hope, who starts off as a rather confused ex-military type and goes on to set up a security company. All of which gives plenty of opportunity for things to go wrong! It's not necessary to read the books in order, but it's worth doing so, as Ben Hope's character & circumstances develop as the series progresses.

... moreda that we are so ?- don't even know the word I am looking for. Polarized, radical, hopeful, gullible, evangelical... I read another book, don't remember the title, by R. Khoury, I think, about how these believers/ political force are "used" to advance unscrupulous politicians. less

A good quick paced adventure story which I enjoyed even if it is out of sequence in the series.
