review 1: Have you ever gone to a summer blockbuster movie with tons of cool wiz-bang special effects and action and...dozed off to sleep because after a while they're just not enough to keep you interested in the story or the characters?Have you ever ordered a supreme pizza and had the guy deliver a plain cheese one instead?That's how I feel after reading "Bound by Danger."Jace, a SEAL, and Tomcat (aka Clint), a CIA agent undercover as a MC enforcer, fall hard for each other. .Yummmmmmm....Yes..lots of intense and steamy M/M action!!! However, it is buried -- along with the plot -- in pages of deadly declarative sentences. In once section of the story, I found one line of dialogue in six pages of narrative...There's some sort of MC intrigue related to Jace's cousin Kenny, gun-runni... moreng, the CIA, the FBI, the DEA...and other stuff. Which also somehow involves Jace's SEAL buddy Sawyer, who's starting up something very hot with Rex, his CO. So...there's tons more blazing M/M sex...which is also overwhelmed by dense narrative, some confusing dialogue, and unresolved plot points.This was almost a DNF for me, with maybe one star, but the sex was pretty hot, so I bumped it up to two.
review 2: 3.5 starsReview to comeTomCat (Clint Sommers) and Ex-navy seal Jace Reynolds are both undercover in the MC Motorcycle club for different reasons. TomCat is continuing his work with the CIA, and Jace is snitching for the Feds, in a deal to protect his knucklehead cousin Kenny.Though they are on different sides and have different objectives, they can't fight the attraction and they give it into it. Now begins the hard part. Having a relationship with so many secrets you can't share, how do you build trust? Also, how do build a life with someone who is gone for an unknown period of time doing dangerous work for the government? Jace and Clint have to figure out how to build trust and build a life together when all the outside forces are bent on tearing them apart.I enjoyed this side of TomCat. I enjoyed the return of the prior heroes. I also enjoyed the new development with Rex and Sawyer. There was better chemistry and story telling in this one than book 3. So I look forward to book 5. less
