review 1: This is the last installment of the Beauty series. On their own the short novella were ok for me. Together it was better because it was a full story. I would have liked a little more depth and I would not have minded if it was longer to accomplish that. The characters were decently developed, the sex was good but I still felt that it was lacking something...hence the three stars. I did like the female character more so than in other short novellas. Erin was strong willed and she went after what she wanted. Blake has some serious internal demons and external scars. He fell for Erin hard and I would have liked more reconciliation with himself rather than his constant internal monologue about Erin. All-in-all the story was decent, I read all parts in a day and it kept me enga... moreged. I would read more from this author.
review 2: I was provided a copy of the series by the author for an honest review.This series was a different spin and retelling of Beauty and the Beast but in a sexy way. And though I enjoyed some parts of the story, there were other parts that I thought could have been developed better.I enjoy the teacher/student relationship - the taboo of it and the fear of getting caught - its exciting! I thought that the writing was pretty good and as this was my first experience reading this author I would definitely read future works.I enjoyed the characters more as I got into the 4th book - Beauty Becomes You.I definitely thought that the characters could have been better developed. A lot of their relationship was based on sex, which don't get me wrong, was totally HOT but I would have loved more story about them. I probably would have connected more to them if this was the case and not felt so removed. And though I feel that relationships can happen no matter the age, there were times that I felt that Blake was almost too old for her - too dominant.Overall at the conclusion of the series, I did like them as a character as I could see that Erin healed Blake but I felt that the story had so much potential that the author missed the opportunity in taking.Again, the writing was great and I would definitely read this author again. less
