review 1: Hear Me (Dark Erotica #3)By: Skye Warren5/5 starsBy far this was my favorite book of the series!! I think that’s because there was an even greater psychological impact on our victim/heroine. We don’t even know her name for more than half the book. But that is because she doesn’t remember her own name and she can’t talk. She doesn’t remember anything about before…that is, her life before her slave training began.She escapes, then wakes-up & isn’t sure if she is dreaming or dying. Well, neither, and she doesn’t remember escaping, but she meets a new man. She just thinks that she has been sold and that he is her new Master. But then he doesn’t want her, and she fears having to go back to the warehouse with all the evil men, who will kill her for not pleasing... more her new master & being returned.Her new Master helps to heal her. But can she remember her life before, can she talk, and will he let her stay with him?
review 2: This is the third book in this series and the third I've read by Skye Warren. Another well written disturbing yet hopeful account of a woman abused and tortured, trying to find a path beyond her circumstances. Unlike the previous two books, this one starts out in third person POV and at some point switches to first person. I've read books that switch between first and third, but this sudden switch.... I don't recall exactly at what point it switched but it nay have been toward the end. I won't say more, to avoid spoilers. less
