review 1: The premise of this book was interesting but it was a little confusing. Was the idea of the book to punish a working mother because she complained? Did the author want to show showing motherhood and mothers as good or bad? I couldn't tell where the author stood - maybe that was the point. I would have liked to see these themes and most of the characters fleshed out a little more. It WAS a page turner, though.
review 2: Psychological crime fiction. This book started out well and kept the story moving. 2.5 stars ...would have been higher if the promise of the first 100 pages had been sustained.
