review 1: Another chilling read with lots of twists, turns, ups and downs. This book will have you playing detective throughout but without properly guessing the guilty party until the end. We are introduced to several characters throughout and McKenzie warmly introduces us to Julia, the deceased best friend of Livy - it's very tough to build up a character profile when the character is dead but it's done creatively through others accounts of her character and helps to make us empathize and want to fight for the victim - and potential victims, throughout.
review 2: Although I enjoyed this thriller, I also found it a little disappointing. It was very similar to McKenzie's first adult thriller, Close My Eyes, in that it featured a woman who gets caught up in murder and int
... morerigue, falls into an investigation with an attractive stranger, and suspects her own husband of being involved. The writing is a little cliched at times (I lost count of how many times a shiver went down Livy's spine), and I guessed who the murderer was quite early on. Having said all that, it's still entertaining and readable, and you do want to know what's going to happen in the end. less
